What is a Crisis?

A crisis is any time in which you are feeling intense difficulty, trouble, or danger. You do not have to have any previous mental health issues or be suicidal to be in a crisis. If you are in a stressful situation that disrupts your everyday life, then that’s considered a crisis. There are many ways to deal with crises, one of which is calling or texting a crisis intervention hotline, in which you can speak anonymously to a trained professional who will help you through your crisis. Below, you will find some hotlines that you may speak through.

Other Helpful Resources

If you feel that you are not yet ready to speak to someone about your situation, please take a look at any of the self help resources available below. However, while these resources may be an alternative to speaking with a professional, they are not a replacement. Many times, the best way to help yourself is to let someone else help you.
